Model United NationsAimee has been involved with MUN both at Maple Leaf International School in China and at the American School of Kuwait. In China, Aimee was responsible for running meetings that prepared students for MUN events, connecting with teachers at other schools to organize MUN meets, and accompanying students to other cities to participate in multi-day MUN conferences.

Photography ClubRob was a co-sponsor of the photograph club for two years at Maple Leaf International School. The club met weekly with the purpose of getting students excited about photography by combining theory with practical photography trips. Rob was responsible for planning and delivering discussions on photography techniques (such as depth of field, converging lines, the rule of thirds) and accompanying students on field trips after school so students could practice skills in groups.

Mathletics Math Contest ClubRob worked with students in grades 10 and 11 to prepare for the University of Waterloo Galois and Hypatia math contests from 2008 to 2011. Rob met with students weekly to discuss different problem solving techniques and to work through old contest papers. The contest was so popular tryouts had to be held to reduce the number of members to 30 in each grade.

Sustainability ClubAimee has always been involved in environmental awareness. At the American School of Kuwait, Aimee was the sponsor of the Sustainability Club whose goal was to educate students and the community about the impact of they have on the environment and how the can reduce their global footprint. One of the projects the club worked on last year was an information video that could be used to inform and educate members of the school and the community.

Falcon Weekly Video AnnouncementsFor the past two years Rob worked with a group of students to film, edit and distribute a weekly video announcement at the American School of Kuwait. Rob facilitated the group to film announcements made by teachers and students every week. He helped edit the videos while teaching students how use Final Cut Pro. The completed video was shown during first period every Sunday in class as well as emailed out to all students.
